Privacy policy

Last updated: August 6, 2026

This policy describes what Kumewell collects when you visit this site, why, and what you can do about it. It describes what the site actually does today, not what a template says a website usually does. When the site's practices change, this page and its date change with them.

Who runs this site

Kumewell is an independent publication run by one individual based in Chile, writing for readers in the United States. It is not a company, a clinic, or a subsidiary of one. Contact: hello@kumewell.com.

What is collected automatically

The web server that delivers these pages keeps a standard access log. Each entry records the IP address of the request, the date and time, the page requested, the HTTP status returned, the referring page if the browser sends one, and the browser's user-agent string.

These logs exist to keep the site running and to detect abuse, such as automated attacks. They are not used to build a profile of you, and they are not sold or shared for marketing. They are deleted on a rolling basis and are not kept beyond 30 days.

Cookies and tracking

This site sets no cookies of its own and runs no third-party analytics. There is no advertising pixel on these pages at the time of this update. If that changes, this section will be rewritten before the change goes live, and the date at the top of this page will be updated.

What you give voluntarily

If you send an email, your address and whatever you write are received and kept for as long as needed to answer you and to keep a record of the exchange. That is used to reply to you and for nothing else. It is not added to a mailing list. Ask, and it is deleted.

There is no signup form, no newsletter, and no account on this site at present. If any of those are added, this page will say what they collect before they collect it.

Links to other sites

Pages here link to sites run by other people and companies, including sellers of products discussed on this site. Once you follow a link, you are on their site under their privacy policy, not this one. Those sites commonly set their own cookies and may record that you arrived from here. Kumewell has no control over and no access to what they collect. See the affiliate disclosure for what those links are.

Who else touches your data

The site is hosted on a virtual server rented from DigitalOcean, LLC, located in the United States. DigitalOcean operates the infrastructure the logs described above sit on. Email sent to the address above is handled by the mail provider for the kumewell.com domain. No other party receives site data.

Where your data is processed

The server is located in the United States. It is administered remotely from Chile, so information reaching the server may be accessed from Chile. Chile is not a country the European Commission has recognized as providing an adequate level of data protection.

Your choices

Write to hello@kumewell.com to ask what information is held about you, to ask for it to be corrected, or to ask for it to be deleted. There is no charge and you do not have to give a reason. Requests are answered within 30 days.

If you are a California resident: this site does not sell your personal information and does not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. You have the right to know what is collected and to request deletion, and you will not be treated differently for asking.

Children

This site is written for adults and is not directed at children. No information is knowingly collected from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has sent information here, write to the address above and it will be deleted.

Security

Pages are served over HTTPS. No payment information is ever collected or handled by this site. No system is perfectly secure, and no promise is made here that one is.

Changes to this policy

Material changes are made before the practice changes, not after, and the date at the top of this page records the last revision.
